Nokia N97 mini, a compact version of N97 is for style-conscious and active social networkers. New toy for Nokia lovers.

This N97 mini main feature is Lifecasting with Ovi. It lets you update your status, photo, and location to share with friends on Facebook.

It is mini size yet don’t sacrifice full QWERTY keyboard. The homescreen can be customized to suit your favorite widgets too.

Another selling point is it’s 5MP camera with f2.8 aperture, same with my Nokia N82. Perhaps Carl-Zeiss Tessar lens capture better image. The storage is huge with built-in 8GB and expandable to 24GB MicroSD card.

The first Nokia mobile phone that apply touch screen technology. It is a music phone by its name.

When comes to music phones, end users want a device that is a great music experience – with more memory, loud and powerful speakers, and easy synchronization. I believe with release of the model should grab back mobile phone market share from iPhone, Omnia, and HTC touch. What do you think?

Nokia 5800 Xpress Music Features

Let’s dig out the features of this new Nokia toy. It is full featured mobile phone.

Display: 3.2-inch TFT touch screen

Memory: 8GB (up to 16GB), 81MB Internal

OS: Symbian S60 5th edition

Camera: 3.15MP (Autofocus, Video VGA@30fps)

Bonus: GPS receiver, A-GPS

Connectivity: Wifi 802.11g, HSDPA, Bluetooth A2DP

Extra: Accelerometer, Stereo Speakers, TV Out

Compare to iPhone, Nokia XpressMusic has thinner width. So it is more comfortable for Asian user (Asian like me has smaller hand )

Another bonus of Xpress Music is the Mediabar Touch key. The mediabar make your phone like a Jukebox. Allows you access to music library and media related operation in fast and easy way! Is it the one in your next gadget wish list??

Price at ~ $500 USD?

Samsung Innov8 i8510 takes mobile phone photography and multimedia experience to new height. This model offers high resolution camera technologies, a surround-sound cinematic video experience, the best mobile Internet browsing experience and mobile gaming capabilities.

Samsung Innov8 is a full features mobile phone. It reinforces Samsung renowned leadership in camera phone. Perhaps it give some surprise to you too!

Samsung Innov8 i8510 Features

Don’t need to say so much. Jump to see its specifications and features.

Display: 2.8-inch

Accelerometer

Optical trackpad

Memory: 8GB/16GB Internal

Connectivity: 3G, HSDPA, Wifi 802.11g, Bluetooth

Camera: 8MP (autofocus, image stabiliser, video(VGA@30fps, QVGA@120fps)

Extra: GPS receiver, A-GPS

Sound: External dual speakers and 3D surround sound supported by DNSe 2.0

One bonus feature I never see on other mobile phone is it “Optical Trackpad”. The Optical Trackpad act as a “mouse” in Samsung Innov8. You can use it to browse Internet like in PC. The optical mouse is better compare to normal touch screen. Of course, Apple multi-touch screen is still the best.

This phone come in 2 type storage- 8GB and 16GB. Same features, you might pay more for bigger size to store music, movies.

I think this will be the next war in mobile world between iPhone, N96 and Innov8! What do you think?

Price at ~ 8GB-$800, 16GB-$930 USD.

Anyone here using Sony Ericson phone please raise your hand? I expect to see at least 10% of us. This mean there is one Sony Ericson phone user out of 10 worldwide. In country like Taiwan, Sony Ericson have 30% in phone market share!

The new walkman phone W760i has integrate with more features at reasonable price. Its music-friendly feature set still the key feature. As bonus, this model equipped with GPS receiver and accelerometer (a new trend for mobile phone huh?).

Sony Ericsson W760i Features

No need to list out full specifications. Just an ordinary walkman phone with extra feature. It is worth if compare its price with GPS chipset integrated phone in the market. Most suitable for walkman lover…

Display: LCD with 320 x 240 pixels

Connectivity: Bluetooth (A2DP)

Camera: 3.2 MP

Extra: 3G Video Call, FM radio, GPS receiver

Memory:40 MB internal memory

Battery Standby Time: Up to 350 h

By looking at the design, specs and features, it definitely not my cup of tea. Sliding type, No wifi phone totally out of my list.Further, some of its navigation controls were crowded. Also lacks a camera flash not like my N82 got Xenon flash!

Price at ~ $300 USD.

Song long, it is almost a year of Google’s open source operating system news. Finally we got first official shot of G1 Android mobile phone (Google mobile phone). Nightmare for Apple has begin today. I believe there will be more tech wars between Google and Apple in coming year.

Android phone is just very beginning. Google Android is not just for phone. It will be widely use in multimedia device, automobile, etc in future development.

T-Mobile G1 Android Features

No detail specifications yet. Look at the features and wait for the product soon.

Size: 4.6 x 2.16 x 0.63 inches

Display: 65K color screen, HVGA (480×320)

Connectivity: GPS, (No bluetooth) , Wifi?

Others: 3.1MP Camera (No Video capture)

Apps: Maps (including satellite, traffic and street views), Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk

So far, as my concern will G1 Android support prepaid plan? The answer is No. It required data plan associated with this device; otherwise will not work without.

So my question is, will you subscribe to data plan to use G1 Android (if it is available in your country) ?

Price at ~ $200 USD with a two-year service contract from T-Mobile.

You will find HTC touch diamond is perfect advance mobile phone, no matter which angle.

Many editors compare HTC touch diamond with iPhone 3G and found HTC won in term of features, design, and casing quality. HTC proud on its giant leap to use TouchFlo 3D in this PDA phone.

HTC Touch Diamond Features

2.8-inch touch screen, with four times the pixels of most phones.

Vibrant TouchFLO 3D user interface.

HTC Weather – providing a constant view of weather.

High speed broadband with HSDPA internet connectivity.

3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera

4GB internal storage

Integrated GPS

My two cents

It is a good PDA phone but nothing new to me. Even the proudly TouchFlo 3D is not attractive at all after see the demo. Instead I still like the “Multi touch” screen in iPod or iPhone. Multi touch works more fun, more interactively.

Another lack of is on its low 3.2MP camera. It is better than iPhone 3G but still low compare to many latest mobile phone at least 5MP. What do you think?

Price at ~ $700 USD.

We know BlackBerry smartphone is target on business market all the while. The BlackBerry has always been popular in US, Canada, and Europe but not in Asia.

The latest model BlackBerry Storm 9530 smartphone has become popular search in Yahoo search engine recently. BlackBerry Storm smartphone can compete to Apple iPhone 3G. Because they provide almost the same features such as touch screen, predictive text messanging, etc.

BlackBerry Storm 9530 Main Features

The BlackBerry Storm is not yet in the market. According to Verizon Wireless, it is coming soon. No details specifications yet, but the Storm talking point document has leak out some it’s main features.

the first “click” touch screen in Blackberry – To provide smooth, precise text input

3G fast connectivity

High resolution screen

Full HTML web browsing

3.2 megapixel camera

Visual voice mail support

GPS – Audible turn by turn direction capability

Picture messaging support

Removable memory

Removable battery

Compare to iPhone 3G, it has many advantages. But nothing is perfect. The biggest disadvantage is it lacks the wi-fi capability! How can we call it “smart” without a Wi-fi connection?

We will see the full specifications when the “smartphone” available in the market.
