iOS 4.3 VS Android, Who Win?

Last time was Mac OS or Windows. But now is iOS or Android?

From the chart above we see very clearly that iOS 4.3 manage battery much more better than Android. Probably 20% – 60% longer battery life! It is Battery saver.

Then why use Android? Probably more light weight OS. Boot faster and browse Internet faster in overall!

So who win the game? Depend on what you want, You decide!

Apple iMac 27-inches

Although laptop is so common nowadays, some people still stick to their desktop. Desktop still best value for money for user that do not travel a lot. Apple iMac is one of the best desktop computer!

From 17-inches few years ago to 19-inches ( I have one at home) and now 27-inches LED-backlit HD monitor. 17-inches monitor not suitable for movie lover anymore, since HD getting common.

Let’s see what you get in iMac 27-inch:

CPU: 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Display: 27″ with 2560 x 1440 resolution

Memory: 4GB DDR3

Hard Drive: 1TB

Graphic: ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics 256MB

It comes with wireless keyboard and magic mouse standard. Magic mouse not that sensitive, yet still awesome.

To me, 27-inches monitor is like a small TV. Is it good to face 27-inches monitor in on hand long distance for whole day work? Maybe our spectacular will get thicker after use iMac.

Apple iPod Touch 3rd Generation 64GB

I have won two set of iPod Touch over the last 2 years. First one was iPod touch 16GB 1st generation, then iPod touch 8GB 2nd Generation early this year.

iPod touch has changed my life in listening music, play games, watch video clips and most importantly – Internet surfing on WiFi. No other portable device can compete the speed of Internet surfing to iPod touch!

Now it comes to the 3rd generation – huge 64GB storage!

What’s New in iPod touch 3rd Gen? Other than larger storage, it features iPhone’s voice control, graphic enhancement, and faster processor.

Disappointment is it still does not have a build-in camera. If you’re looking for a perfect iPod touch, I’ll suggest you to wait for the next upgrade with camera.

Price at ~ $399 USD. Available in 8GB and 32GB model too,for cheaper price.

Are You Sure iPhone 3GS Run Faster?

iPhone 3GS is so hot in mobile phone market. Everybody is talking about its new features and Speed.

My question is how you sure iPhone 3GS run faster than its predecessor? The guys from CNet did a good job to compare its real life speed with iPhone 3G and HTC Touch Diamond2.

Which mobile phone win the fastest speed? iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G or HTC Touch Diamond2? Let’s begin few simple speed test in the video.

As a result, iPhone 3GS win most of the test except the last one.

Start Up Test – iPhone 3GS (1st), iPhone 3G (2nd), HTC Diamond2 (3rd)
Web browser rendering – iPhone 3GS (1st), iPhone 3G (2nd), HTC Diamond2 (3rd)
Youtube video streaming – iPhone 3GS (1st), iPhone 3G (2nd), HTC Diamond2 (3rd)
Shutdown Speed – Unexpectedly, HTC Touch Diamond2 the first, follow by iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G.

The time difference between iPhone and HTC in 4th test too significant. HTC shutdown say in 5 seconds, but iPhone took years to turn off totally. Probably Apple iPhone developer overlook this part?

In fact, we seldom shutdown mobile phone unless change battery. So who care the shutdown speed?

iPod Shuffle: small talk

Am too late to talk about Apple new iPod Shuffle release, small talk. Anyway still have to write about it. A gadget should not miss for iPod lover with ultra portability.

This new iPod Shuffle still no display. No control button on the slim body. Its shinning metal clip looks like iPod touch backcover.

New iPod Shuffle Features

It size smaller than a AA size battery. Can simply clip on t-shirt, pocket,jacket, etc.

The control button is now build on ear phone wire. Its center control button do more than previous iPod shuffle control. It can play, shuffle, listen to song name, and navigate song via playlist.

The most obvious enhancement is the VoiceOver feature. It is the first iPod that talk to people. Since no display, it “talk” to you the current song name, artist and even name of the playlist, without interrupting your song play.

More Features

If you sync with MAC, the VoiceOver talk with man voice. If not (sync with PC), it talk with lady voice.

Current model available in 4GB capacity store up to 1000 songs. Its playback time up to 10 hours with fully charged.

Of course the significant upgrade is updated CPU at Intel Core 2 Duo (2.4 GHz) and improved battery life (up to 5 hours). All features same with new MacBook.

Why people pay $1000 USD more than MacBook for a MacBook Pro? Because MacBook Pro get larger screen 15.4-inch (MacBook 13.3-inch), faster CPU 2.4Ghz (MacBook 2.1Ghz) and 250GB hard drive (MacBook 160GB). Is it worth? You decide but I don’t think so!

After the release of new MacBook with aluminium case, as usual Mac supporter still stick to it and opponent blame for its lacking specifications. I’m neutral in this case. In fact, I think Mac lover buy for its design, style and features than its specifications.

If someone really want cost effective computer, why don’t go for AMD processor laptop? It is totally 2 different things. I think no need to argue. Just go for the one that suit you the most. Let’s feel the new MacBook by watching New MacBok Unboxing video.

Apple just annouce its new Apple MacBook release. The new MacBook and MacBook Pro is great! From its design, specifications to price are attractive.

The new MacBook has aluminium body. It looks thinner and more solid. Also lighter and greener. Its new ultrathin 13.3-inch LED-backlit display give you perfect view. The advance model integrate with NVIDIA chipset deliver up to 5x more graphic performance.

The only lacking for this MacBook is its memory, only 1GB. It is optional to upgrade to maximum 4GB. Just matter of money. MacBook main specifications are as below:

If I buy this MacBook, I’ll add on 1GB RAM ($75) to make it 2GB RAM for better performance on multitasking.
