Then you may look into WiMAX laptop.

WiMAX is a metropolitan wireless communication support up to (5 – 15 km) for mobile stations. While normal Wifi (802.11) can only support to 30-100m. Asus M50Vm-A1 is one of the new laptop has integrated WiMAX chipset.

ASUS M50Vm-A1 Features

Nothing special on its feature except WiMAX. The specs are consider fast. No problem for gaming since it has 1GB RAM graphic card.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo P8400

Memory: 4GB of RAM

Graphic: GeForce 9600M 1GB

Other: WiMAX

With WiMAX, you can connect to Internet broadband using LAN speed! But the problem is, does your ISP provide WiMAX?

My ISP does not provide any kind of “MAX” including WiMAX. And i don’t think the ISP will implement WiMAX so soon. So why I buy WiMAX chipset? No, better save for something else.

Price at ~ $1399 USD.
