In February 2008, Intel has re-introduce the term “Netbook” as a category of small-sized, low-cost, light weight, lean function subnotebooks optimized for Internet access and core computing functions.

More than 50 million Netbooks are expected to be in widespread circulation by 2011. The first netbook model come into my mind was ASUS Eee PC. Following the current trend, Averatec have announced their latest netbook “Averatec Buddy”.

Outlook of Averatec buddy similar to MSI Wind. But it serves larger hard drive than MSI Wind for lower price.
