The Ultimate Lenovo Netbook of the year 2010 – Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid! We heard hybrid car that can drive on the road and sea, but this is the first time we hear Hybrid Netbook.

This netbook has 11.6-inch multitouch screen. It comes with Intel Core2Duo processor and 16GB SSD to run Windows 7 Home Premium and Lenovo’s customized Skylight Linux interface. Two OS in one hardware, that’s why we call it hybrid.

The coolest part is only when you pull the screen from its shell, it will then morph to the customized Linux OS with multitouch keyboard work like tablet. By the way, we can’t see it act in real until June this year!

Price at ~ $999 USD.

Look at the graph, Asus Eee PC 1008HA win the 1st place in multimedia multitasking test. Shorter bar means better performance.

It is not a news for the MSI Wind U100 model. But it is good news that its price drop at really low. You might want to compare its specifications with its price.

MSI Wind U100 was the first 10-inch netbook to feature the speedy new Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor. It is available in black and white. I like the white one, looks clean!

MSI Wind U100 Specifications

It is really light at 1.1kg only without sacrificing convenience or performance. Yet, the ergonomically designed keyboard is only 20% smaller than a full sized notebook keyboard.

CPU: Intel Atom 1.6 GHz

OS: Win XP Home

Display: 10″WSVGA (1024×600) LED
Memory: 1GB DDR2 / 667Mhz

Hard Drive: 120G / 2.5″ SATA

Battery: 3 Cell

WLAN: 802.11b/g

Webcam: 1.3m

Dimension: 10.23″ x 7.08″ x 0.748″ ~1.24″

Weight: 1.1kg

The only lacking is on its 3 cell battery which may only support upto 2.5 hours system run time. It maybe enough for traveller or mobiler. But 4 cells or 6 cells battery is much more better!

Price drop to ~ $399 USD.
